Our team is expanding, and we’re thrilled to open the role of Electrical Engineer at our Los Angeles, California office – a pivotal position for anyone eager to make a direct impact on cutting-edge products used by thousands every day.

About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer with a strong background in power electronics and embedded hardware to join our multidisciplinary product development team. You will work on a wide range of projects – designing high-performance circuits, building prototypes, and collaborating closely with mechanical and firmware engineers to bring products from concept to production.

This is a high-impact role where your designs directly influence products used by thousands.

We are hiring! Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design & Simulation

  • Design, simulate, and test power electronics circuits (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC converters, motor controllers).
  • Develop and optimize circuits using IGBTs, MOSFETs, SiC, and GaN semiconductors.
  • Create schematics and PCB layouts using Altium or Cadence.
  • Conduct thermal and reliability analysis; design with safety and efficiency in mind.

Prototyping & Testing

  • Support prototype development, validation, and design-for-manufacturing efforts.
  • Collaborate on system-level design with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Document design decisions, test procedures, and technical specifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • 5–7 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in product development
  • Hands-on experience with power supplies, converters, inverters, or motor drives
  • Proficiency with simulation tools (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS)
  • Experience with embedded systems and digital control (DSP, MCU, FPGA)
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC principles, thermal design, and industry safety standards
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Effective communication and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with battery-powered devices
  • Familiarity with compliance standards (UL, IEC, ISO)
  • Experience with production ramp-up and hardware validation.
  • Knowledge of wireless systems, IoT protocols, or sensor integration

This role is ideal for engineers who want to go beyond simply managing projects.  It’s for those who want to be hands-on creators of complex electrical systems, from initial schematics and simulations to working prototypes and full-scale production. You’ll have the opportunity to work with modern technologies, collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team, and see your work come to life in real products.
