About the Role
This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to the full product lifecycle — from initial design to prototyping, testing, and commercialization.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Modeling
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Create 3D models, detailed drawings, BOMs, and documentation for prototyping and manufacturing.
- Apply FEA and simulation tools to validate and optimize designs.
Prototyping & Testing
- Build and test functional prototypes; iterate based on performance and reliability data.
- Work with various materials and manufacturing processes, including sheet metal, CNC-machined parts, molded plastics, and soft polymers.
Collaboration & Process Management
- Collaborate with electrical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product integration.
- Manage engineering change processes, part lifecycle, and version control.
- Participate in quality management processes, including Material Review Board (MRB) and compliance reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in a product development environment
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and knowledge of FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation)
- Familiarity with common manufacturing methods and design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Experience with engineering change control, versioning, and part lifecycle management
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with quality standards and compliance documentation
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping tools (3D printing, CNC)
- Exposure to hardware product commercialization and scaling production
- Interest in consumer electronics, IoT devices, or wearable tech
